CA-48th Another Republican Enters the Race: Election Dates Confirmed!

[Update] Election Dates proclaimed by Governor Muscles this morning. The General Special Election for the CA-48th will be December 6th, 2005. The Secretary of State's office determined the Primary Election shall be October 4, 2005. This has been confirmed by conversation with the Secretary of State's office and the Election Analysts.  2:43pm Pacific

According to a source that called me this morning, The Daily Pilot is reporting today that Edward Suppe [correction], a businessman, has announced he will enter the Primary as a Republican. His issues are environmental and water quality.

I tried to verify the phone call with the DP's electronic edition and could not. So for now I have to say that the source is reliable but the information is unconfirmed. Since I still expect everyone's comic relief, and honestly the only really old-style conservative that would be in the race, Bob Dornan to show up and pull his papers...the right side of the ballot is getting really crowded.

And Jim Gilchrist has yet to be heard from too. I fully expect he'll run as well. I'll try to confirm that again today.

We should be hearing from Governor Muscles today. It's going to be a fun race.
